I've always been one of those "behind the scenes" guys. I've had a long, enjoyable history in the music business, first on stage with bands such as Badland Stone, Osiris, The White Russian Band and others in the '80's before finding my comfort zone in the studio. I've had the good fortune to work with some of the most talented musicians, producers, engineers and writers in the business over the years and from time to time share the stage with them. Not big on name dropping, not my thing especially when it'd be even easier to leave someone out.

Life completely changed in 2009.  An e.coli infection gone horribly wrong robbed me of my health and left me with near total amnesia after 6 months in and out of a coma in the hospital. It's taken me years to nurse myself back to any sense of normalcy. I was endlessly frustrated that the amnesia robbed me of my ability to play guitar, other instruments or have any clue what all those knobs and buttons in the studio were for.

A little bit about me

Inspired by guitarist Pat Martino's story about his recovery from amnesia, I began the long road back and while I'd love to say I can now play as well as Pat, I can't, I can't even play nearly as well as I used to but as those with greater wisdom than I - a long journey begins with a simple step.

During the years since my illness I began to catalog and maintain the guitars (60+) and amps in my collection as well as begin to write new music as I progressed with my playing skills. In the process of doing that I made my job easier by building something that the market didn't offer and now am on the brink of holding two patents. Additionally I started re-connecting with old friends to help build back my memory and try and fill in the gaps in my life that vex me. I have faint recollections of my life from my early years through my 40's but with the help of these friends I've been able to piece together a timeline and experiences that otherwise would be lost in the winds of time. More importantly to me, by re-engaging with old acquaintances they've agreed to step up and step into the studio with me to record my first solo album intended for release in 2018. Many thanks guys!

I'm no one special, just another guy that enjoys and plays music and started this website and some social media - I didn't really know what that was for the longest time :) -  in order to continue the recovery of memories lost. If you know me and we haven't spoken in years - please reach out! Would love to hear from more of you!  Rock on!  Dotsen Walker
